We welcome all ages, genders and skill levels to our hālau.  We offer classes for  Nā Wāhine (women),  Nā Kāne (men),  Keikikāne (boys), and Kaikamāhine (girls). All skill levels will be established at the instructor's discretion. Our hālau motto is “Live Aloha.” We're not only a hula hālau...

we are a hula 'ohana (family)!!  
 
If you love the Hawaiian culture, we offer amazing opportunities to explore your inner 'uhane Hawai'i (Hawaiian spirit).  

Excitedly we have 2 San Diego hula studios!  One in North County (Vista) and the other in the beautiful San Diego area (Chula Vista).  We are grateful and happy to spread the Aloha throughout Northern and Southern California!

Introductory Dance

Whether you’re looking to learn to hula  or improve and share your existing talent, this class is what you are looking for. Our Kumu (instructor) is committed to giving each student attention while also moving the class forward. We’re happy to answer any questions you have about this class or any others - simply contact us or stop by.

Intermediate Dance

Let’s Do It

Led by our very own Kumu Hula, this class will bring out the inner hula beauty in you. Our Intermediate dancers love  this class, as it gives them the opportunity to challenge themselves by learning more difficult choreography and hula implements  and  showcase their talent. Advanced Dance

On Your Feet


This class is a favorite am our students. Everyone loves the opportunity to explore the new dance moves taught in this class, while also mastering the classic moves. Our amazing instructor makes sure everyone gets individual attention while keeping the class collaborative. Placement in this class is at the Kumu's discretion.  Want to find out more? Beginning/Intermediate/Advanced Hula

Placement in each of these classes is at the Kumu's (instructor's) discretion

We offer Beginning, Intermediate and advanced classes.  In beginning hula you will learn the basics of hula along with choreography, 'Olelo (language), and Oli (chant).
The Intermediate/Advanced hula is for experienced intermediate/advanced dancers, ages 14 and older.  Knowledge and experience dancing hula and using Hawaiian implements is required for placement in this class. Want to find out more? Get in touch with us today.

Kāne (men)

Men aged 14 and up

Whether you’re looking to learn hula or are an experienced dancer, our kāne class is designed to perpetuate the Hawaiian culture through dance, 'olelo (language), and oli (chant).


Did you know that in the 1800's, only men were allowed to dance hula? The strongest men were chosen as Hawaiian Warriors through their hālau. So if you're one of those warriors or want to be...  this class is what you are looking for.  We’re happy to answer any questions you have about this class or any others - simply contact us or stop by.

Keiki/Keiki Kāne

Keiki (Girls and Boys)

This class is designed for children ages 3-8 years old.  The keiki will learn the basic moves for hula, choreography, the language and the Hawaiian culture through dance, mele (songs), and mo'olelo (stories)

Kaikamahine

Girls

This class is a favorite among our girls age 8-13 years old.  This class offers the opportunity to learn more advanced dance moves for these young ladies, while also mastering the basic moves. We make sure everyone gets individual attention while keeping the class collaborative. The girls not only learn choreography, they learn 'Olelo (Hawaiian language), Mele (song), Oli (chants), how to use Hawaiian implements, along with mastering the basics of hula.
